Boon Tong Kee @ Cheong Chin Nam Road (Bukit Timah)

Today's lunch after church was nearby church. We had chicken rice. We usually have it at 5 Star, but today we thought we will give it a chance.

So we went to Boon Tong Kee instead.

The appetizer which is quite appetizing. We were hungry, anything would be.

Since we had 4 of us, we ordered a Jug of Herbal Tea ($6)

While waiting for our food to arrive, I snap a picture of the chickens hanging.

The first dish that arrive was Tau Geh with Salted Fish. ($7)

Food for Thought @ North Bridge Road

Had dinner with Momo my co-author of this blog last night. She said we should meet up and try this place. So off we went.

While we were there, there were some media students doing filming and photography, most probably for their projects. Haha.. I took pictures of them taking pictures of people etc... LOL...

The quite friendly staff that was there.

We asked what was nice, and was recommended the Slow Roasted Pulled Pork Sandwich.
We took the combination thingy, so it was either Half a Sandwich with Salad or with Soup.

This is the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Chicken Salad that Momo had.

Momo also had the Watermelon Mint Freeze.

I had the (aiya I forgot) half sandwich with pumpkin soup.

Many people rave about the bread, but for dinner it was a bit not so satisfactory, maybe we shall try it again and maybe the cakes too.

Khansama Tandoori Village @ Science Park 1

Last Friday I was on leave, so colleagues came here, they say this place is not bad, so today the 3 that came last week became 5 of us. Yes, all Indian food lovers.

This place is a very interesting. You see lots of interesting deco. This is right at the door. There are more, but I did not take other photos.

All of us settled for set meals. There are 3 non veg and 3 veg ones.
I think you all can guess which ones we took.

This is how the set meals all arrived. It comes with rice and 1 naan, and 1 crispy crispy piece of I don't know what its called! haha..

This is the chicken set. The first bowl was the chicken curry, then the peas whatever that is really really yummy!

The next to it was the chickpeas curry. Next to it, the yoghurt thingy. On the most right, the dessert.

This is the mutton set.

This is the fish set that I had.

Last Friday, they ordered tandoori, so this week, we ordered something else. Sorry, can't remember the name of this. (will update it when I find out from colleague who ordered it).

But the chicken was good!

We also ordered an extra Mix Bread Basket, which consist of:
1 Plain Naan, 1 Garlic Naan, 1 cheese Naan 1 Butter Naan & 1 Tandoori Roti

As usual, just take a photo of the details, so you know where to go.

Their website lists out the full menu. We are thinking of going back again next Friday to try out more stuff. We were admiring other things that other tables ordered. haha...

(You might wonder why Friday? We usually go out for lunch in a group, but lots of people are clearing their annual leave slowly, and our "i no touch indian food" colleagues seems to be taking Fridays off till the end of the year. haha.... we happy, they also happy.)

Nasi Putih Ayam Penyet @ ABC Market

Today colleagues and I wanted to eat swedish meatballs, but Ikea was so packed, so we detoured to ABC market, hoping to eat Fatty Cheong. But... it was not opened!

So, 2 of us ended up eating Malay food, while the rest ate other things.

Not sure which one is good, we saw this stall had a bit of queue. Haha... So we ordered from here.

I had Ayam Penyet. I enjoyed looking at the lady hitting the chicken with this steel hammer, then dipping it inside the oil to deep fry it. Taste ok lah. So so.. chilli is not pedas.

Another colleague ordered the Nasi Ambeng. Ok, how do you pronounce that? "Arm" & "Beng" that sounds with Ah Beng right? Wrong! We were corrected. It is "Arm" & "Berng".

Chinese Noodles @ Science Canteen, NUS (2)

Many people also like to get the pork ribs noodles from the stall. Why? Because the portions are quite generous.

You get around 3-4 or sometimes 5 pieces of big chunks of meat. You can order the $1.50 or $1.80. This version is the $1.80 plus additional veg.
