211 Roof Terrace Cafe @ Holland Village

It is continuation of makans for Sis's birthday. This time is with our CG. Last minute SMS here and there, we ended up at Holland V. Where did we to ended up? Ended up at 211 Roof Terrace Cafe.

We were waiting for the late comers to arrive while Alex and I roamed around Cold Storage, we decided we shall decide for everyone! So, we took the escalators to the 4th floor. haha..

We shared this. It's the Chef Special, which consists of several types of Bread and dips.
It was quite tasty. (If you like Indian taste food)

Our friend Alex had this. Baby Back Ribs. It looks delicious right? Alex seems to have enjoyed it very much, so it must be good. :-)

Darwin and sis, both ordered the Spaghetti Vongole. I think if you are here, you should order this, never fails to give you a satisfaction with the huge amount of vongole they put in.

For me, I had the Spaghetti Marinara. Quite generous with the amount of seafood buried under too! Actually, I wanted vongole, but 3 person ordering same thing, one less photo to take. haha.. The things that I do. (you going to say pengz right?)

Grace had this. Beef Lasagna. With an empty plate, I guess it must be good too!

After that, we kia kia to have cake somewhere else.

PeraMakan @ Keppel Club (Part 2)

Continuation from yesterday's....

This is the Hee Peow Soup. Looks quite good eh. I forgot to try try sis and uncle's soup.

Cousin and Aunt shared the Bakwan Soup. Cousin dont like Bamboo shoots and said chemical taste, chemical taste. We told her that's bamboo, no small kids just refuse to listen to us.

I had Kiam Chai Ak. I have not had this for a long time! Yes, it was good and thick.

Before the meal, we all had this, lemon and aloe vera. Very refreshing.

Now, after dinner, we were all so stuffed, but we got tempted by the next table who was having desserts!

So, we shared a Chendol. Very thick Gula Melaka on top.

We were wondering how the Ice Kachang will look, so here it is..
Generous amounts of Ah Tap Chee below. I think it was 6-7 of it.

Cousin's favourite, Pulut Hitam. It was good, a bit on the sweetish side though.

We think we might go back again :-)

The Apom balik is suppose to be good, but we were told it will be a long wait because there's a big group of ladies having a tok panjang and ordered so may of it...

Happy Deepavali to friends who celebrate it tomorrow...

PeraMakan @ Keppel Club

Today's my sis' birthday. After work, uncle and aunt picked us up and we went to have a birthday dinner. Our cousin said, we are going to Kepo Club. Huh? Kepo? haha.. It is a joke to mean Keppel Club. haha..

PeraMakan used to be in Joo Chiat, but has recently moved here.

Anyway, here's what we had:
Beef Rendang. The beef is so soft and melts right in your mouth. Yum!

This is Penang Style Pork Ribs.
I love this best, I think I got soft spot for things cooked in Tau Jiu. Plus the meat is so so soft, it also melts in your mouth.

Sambal Ladies Finger.
My sis' likes it very much.

Sis also loves to have brinjals.
This is the Brinjal dish.

Cousin likes Assam Fish, so this is what she called.

Uncle loves Sotong Bakar, so this is his dish.

More pictures, but am very sleepy, shall continue tomorrow....
Effects of eating too much, you become too sleepy. Maybe because we ate second helping of rice, because we like all the sauces haha...

Err, in case you think why I have been having so many photos with lard recently. It's just a coincidence.

Rex Satay @ Changi Airport Terminal 2 Staff Canteen

Hmm, today colleague and I, we went previewing the new Terminal 3 at Changi, after that it's lunch time, but where to eat? We ended up at the Terminal 2 Staff Canteen.

What to eat? Walk round and round, and I saw this Rex Satay, it has this Mediacorp's Gurmit Singh show about Lost and Found. This stall seems to be famous for its Satay, but I did not feel like Satay-ing for lunch. So I ordered the Nasi Lemak.

I would say it's not bad lah. The rice is fragrant and sambal also OK. Next time, I shall go try the Satay. :-p

Hey, if you want some cheaper food at Changi Airport, you can head here. The nasi lemak add the extra chicken wing is $3. Can of coke is $1.20 That's the non-staff pricing lah. Staff pricing is cheaper.

Food at Coffee Club @ Holland Village

Yesterday, one of our colleague said she is very very stress. We know what that means! Haha.. She needs to buy Bak Kwa and she is a huge fan of Mei Zhen Xiang. Which also means we will be having lunch in Holland Village, which has the nearest outlet. LOL...

We have always wanted to try the lunch there. We usually end up having desserts there and when we see the menu, we go "aiya, got food here, should have eaten here".

The place is also cool and quiet, good for our meetings too.

2 of us had this. Bangers and Mash. Chicken, Bratwurst and Bedder & Cheese sausages. Yum...

Miss Stress had this. Crusted Dory Gremolata. She likes it, because we see that her stress was gone after lunch!

Another colleague had this. I tell you, we all went ah.. because it smell so good. Chicken Cacciatore. Chicken cooked in red wine and it says a healthy portion of veg in the menu! haha..

Another colleague had this. Err forgot to get the name of the dish. Must find the receipt first. hehe..

We were full. But die die must eat dessert. Becoming like ritual when we are here.
If you remember, we have tried ALL the desserts in the menu. Except for this one. It was always not available. haha..

So here it is... Lychee Panna Cotta. The sourness of the strawberry blends in so nicely with the vanilla ice cream. (They ran out of the original ice cream and asked if they could substitute it with vanilla ice cream) Yes yes, we like it! haha...

Without fail, we always have this. Mud pie. We always wonder how big the piece will come. haha...

We have to thank colleague who decided to treat us lunch. Thanks!

Have a great weekend.
